Bush Survival Skills

Summer 2019-20

We love being out in the bush, but would you know what to do when something goes wrong? We’ll be learning important survival skills such as bush first aid, how to find fresh water, identifying native foods, and constructing an emergency shelter.

  • We do not refund if you decide to cancel your booking. There are no refunds unless the Wildflower Garden cancels the activity.
  • Unless otherwise stated, the meeting point for our activities is Caley’s Pavilion, Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden, 420 Mona Vale Road, St Ives.
  • Participants will need to bring their own packed nut-free morning tea, lunch, water bottle and raincoat in a sturdy backpack. Please wear hats, sunscreen and good walking shoes.
  • Adults don't usually participate in full-day programs except in special circumstances. Contact the office for details.
  • Activities will proceed in wet weather, but may involve a modified program. If extreme weather conditions force the cancellation of the activity, participants will be contacted by the ranger.
  • All activities within the Wildflower Garden have been risk assessed.
